guys. my so move about a hour of driving away. he is now rebuilding parts for are armed flying rigs. it's a bit less money than GE, but it's a much-much better job. he is taking electrical engineering class. he has a very good memory, so I hope he sticks with it.

he brought some stuff from his old apartment and put it in my garage. a week later, today. I asked him about it and he said he has changed his mind about keeping it so I took it to the transvers station. but one thing I kept. it's a 5'x7' rug. more of a tuff cushion, it's about 5/8" thick. it must weigh 25 pounds. it's made for young children to play on. its just about brand new, and I was thinking "what can I do with it, what can I do with it". and it hit me, "I know", see my pick. I sent the pick to his wife, and she laughed and told me "good-going, perfect".

Hi Lonnie and many thanks for watching and for your kind comments also. This was not the maiden flight but just the first flight of the evening. I have a video made of the second flight and will put it up soon. All my other Saito 62s have an apc 12x6 prop except for this plane which has a master airscrew 12x6 three blade prop and I have to say Lonnie that I love that prop on that engine and plane. Yes, the Control Line venturi restrictor has been removed for the dyno testing.

Did you notice the piss poor performance of the FA-72? Horse Power and torque curves like that severely limit prop selection. Think there's some restriction going on there? Carburation? Exhaust? Maybe both, needs some looking in to.

They don't now but not sure about the CL version. Current parts lists show the 56, 62 & 65 sharing the same muffler, 62 and 65 sharing the same carb.....which we know wasn't the case originally
..and the 72 having its own carb and muffler.
I have a 56, 62, 72 & 82, can measure them if you want.

The only "CL" version I am aware of, here in the US is the FA-62 CL. It has the fixed bore venturi.

A .56 would pump about the same volume of air at 12,500 RPM as a .72 would at 9,700. Fudge that a bit for the differences in efficiency and the charts work.

Maybe, a 12x8 may be too much prop for an FG-11, depending on the airframe and baffeling techniques used. Perhaps an 11x10 or 11x9 would have given the speed he was looking for. If he substitutes in an FA-62 for the FG-11 he may still be disappointed, for the same reason.

I just bought a nice FA-115 to replace an OS 91FS in my .60 size TF Gold Edition F4U Corsair........because I prefer methanol for 1.20 cu. in. or less displacement needs. Could have put an FG-21 in it and not suffered much, if any speed loss.

The FA-62 should pull that 12X8 just fine. Then again the FA-72 is a viable option.
